WTF with iron?
Who needs more iron? Not very many, as it turns out. Did you know that there is no regulated means of excreting iron? What does that mean? In a nutshell, iron is so important in our evolutionary development that it is carefully retained by our body and re-used again and again to make new red blood cells (erythrocytes) and in a variety of other enzymes vital to our survival. Why the concern? Iron can also be a potentially potent toxin to our cells too. It's all because iron can cause inappropriate chemical reactions (oxidation) that can lead to disease and dysfunction. Key Word: Oxidative Stress! More on this later...cogitate on the message so far.
